Our favorite dry fly of all time!

Fish just think this thing looks, well, "buggy".

Use size #12 for larger trout in lakes, but drop to a #16 for small streams. Or better yet, tie up #10 through #20, and "match the hatch" with the hatching insects you see on the water and in the air.

Bend down the barbs for easier release of small fish.

On still-waters, consider cutting off the bottom 1/3 of the hackle, so it sits lower in the water like the natural fly. Put more fly-floatant on the fly if you do this, however.
